I am a doctoral candidate in Philosophy at the University of Oxford and a British Society for the History of Philosophy Postgraduate Fellow (2022-23). From October 2023, I will be a Research Fellow in Philosophy at Peterhouse, Cambridge. My primary research interests are in classical Chinese philosophy (especially Daoism), early Greek philosophy (particularly Parmenides), and the global history and historiography of philosophy. I also have interests in the European reception of Chinese and Greek philosophy. I am based in Oxford's Faculty of Philosophy, and am also a DPhil Associate at the China Centre, Oxford and a member of the Oxford Network for Ancient Philosophy. My doctoral supervisors are Prof. Luca Castagnoli (Philosophy, Oxford), Prof. Dirk Meyer (AMES, Oxford), and Dr Shaul Tor (Classics/Philosophy, KCL).
Born to a Belgian mother and an American father, I grew up in Brussels, Belgium. I hold a BA from the University of Cambridge, where I studied Classics and Philosophy. I then completed a Master of Studies in Ancient Philosophy at Oxford. Outside of my doctoral research I am strongly committed to promoting cross-departmental discussion of marginalized philosophical traditions. I am the founder of Philiminality, a student-run platform for cross-cultural and interdisciplinary philosophy. You can find my cv here.
